Hoboken Family Alliance is a non-profit organization that holds a variety of family-oriented events in the fall, winter and spring. Their signature events are the All Schools Open House, Clothing Swap and Cabin Fever.
I attended the All Schools Open House three years ago, when my oldest child was entering preschool. I gathered literature and swag from various tables, wrote down open house dates and asked detailed questions of the principal at Wallace, my first-choice elementary school at the time. It was a great way to dip my toe in the water and get working knowledge of the myriad of school choices in the Hoboken area.
The next All Schools Open House is today from 5pm-8pm. Even if you get there at 7pm, one hour is enough time to peruse all the offerings. Details are here.
